FAQ

  • Can I use my own venue ID when sending API requests to Wolt?

No, only the Wolt venue ID is a valid variable in API requests. We can however add a Merchant’s ID in the order payload under venue_external_id and in the webhook notifications we send.

  • Do I have to sign a contract to start developing towards Wolt’s APIs?

Yes, we have standard T&Cs that are sent out before we can share access to our environment.

  • Do I have to pay to use Wolt APIs?

No, Wolt APIs are free to use.

  • How can I get notified about service disruptions?

System-wide incidents are reported here. Feel free to subscribe to notifications.

  • Do you have API rate limits?

Yes, you find them specified per endpoint in Item API, Inventory API and Menu API.

  • I don’t work with OAuth2.0, do you support any other type of authentication?

You can check out our sFTP solutions for menu management, and our Order Submitter for receiving orders.

  • Are there different APIs for the different countries Wolt operates in?

No, the APIs are the same but there might be country-specific fields or regulations that you need to keep in mind. Check out here our list of country specific requirements. The list is just a starting point, always check with your merchant if there are more restrictions they need to comply with.

Once you finish an integration with us and have been live for a set period, we will feature you in our Integration Partner catalogue for merchants to discover and use your services!

  • How do I get started?

Fill out this form - one of our team members will get back to you with access to our environment.

  • Can Wolt connect to 3rd party feeds?

No, we only allow integration towards our APIs.
